Thai Basil

If you are looking for a little something out of the ordinary, Thai Basil may just be the spot.

The decor leaves a little to be desired. Of course they have the religious icons that every Thai place has. I wonder if that's required by law? There are a couple of pictures but it's obvious they aren't re-investing the money they are making into sprucing up the joint.

The bad--
The peanut sauce leaves a little, ok a lot, to be desired.
Thai iced tea was ok. (Not freshly brewed)
The lemon sauce was too sweet on the lemon grass chicken.

The good--
Everything else.
I had the Thai Scampi and wanted more. Chicken fried rice would put most Chinese restaurants to shame. The chicken satay was juicy and not dried. Fried springrolls, yup they were good. (Is there anything that is fried that is bad?)

The service was ok; seemed to hover around us trying to make a good impression. Maybe he knows about this blog...

Kali and I ate like royalty. Melia dealt with it. Margaret was curiously absent...
