Paragary's - Fantistico
Not quite the best but near the top is how I would describe it.
As you'd expect from a 5 forker, the service was great. The greeters attentive, our reservation honored quickly, nice table. BUT, something wasn't quite right. Maybe it was a little cramped. Maybe the food wasn't spectacular; there was something that led us all to say...this is a 5 and not a 6.
I had an excellent Sea Bass with a couscous "type" side dish. Grilled veggies rounded out my meal. Margaret had a very tasty chicken dish and the girls the usual - Kali clams in a butter, garlic sauce and Melia mussels. We ordered a side of VERY good mashed potatoes and veggies for the girls.
Desert - crème brulée, chocolate cake, apricot turnover - we all good but again not spectacular.
I think the ultimate ding was the place just wasn't cool or hip. It's a good spot to take someone from out of town; a safe bet but it won't dazzle. In the end it's a solid, if not boring place to go.
(Maybe that's why this post is less witty or inspired.)
